Protecting your privacy when processing personal data, and the security of all business data, are important concerns for us. We treat personal data collected when you visit our website confidentially and process it only in accordance with statutory regulations.
Data protection and information security are part of our corporate policy.
2. Controller
TTE GmbH (hereinafter "TTE", "we" or "us") is the controller responsible for processing your data; any exceptions are set out in this data protection notice.

3. Collection, processing and use of personal data
3.1 Categories of data processed
Communication data (e.g. name, telephone number, email address, postal address, IP address) is processed.
3.2 Principles
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, contractual master data, contract accounting and payment data – all of which express a person's identity. We collect, process and use personal data (including IP addresses) only where there is a statutory legal basis for doing so or where you have given your consent to the processing or use of your personal data for the respective purpose, e.g. by registering.
3.3 Processing purposes and legal basis
We, and the service providers we commission, process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Providing this website
- Responding to user inquiries submitted via the contact form
- Resolving service disruptions and for security reasons
- Marketing (our own and third-party), market research and reach analysis, to the extent permitted by law or based on your consent
- Safeguarding and defending our rights
3.4 Log files
Each time you use the internet, your browser transmits certain information, which we store in so-called log files.
We store log files for 7 days to identify service disruptions and for security reasons (e.g. to investigate attempted attacks), and delete them afterwards. Log files that must be retained as evidence are excluded from deletion until the incident in question has been resolved.
The following information is stored in log files:
- IP address of the device
- Internet address of the website from which our website was accessed
- Name of the service provider
- Name of the files or information accessed
- Date, time and duration of the access
- Amount of data transferred
- Operating system and information about the internet browser used
- HTTP status code
3.5 Children
This website is not intended for children under 16 years of age.
3.6 Data transfer
3.6.1 Data transfer to other controllers
As a rule, we pass your personal data on to other controllers only where this is necessary to fulfill a contractual obligation, where we or a third party have a legitimate interest in the transfer, or where you have given your consent.
3.6.2 Service providers (general)
We engage external service providers for tasks such as sales and marketing services, contract management, payment processing, programming, data hosting and hotline services. We select these service providers carefully and monitor them regularly.
3.6.3 Transfer to recipients outside the EEA
We may transfer personal data to recipients located outside the EEA (so-called third countries). In such cases, before the transfer we ensure either that the recipient provides an appropriate level of data protection or that you have consented to the transfer.
3.7 Storage duration and retention periods
As a rule, we store your data for as long as necessary to provide our website and the associated services, or for as long as we have a legitimate interest in storing it. In all other cases we delete your personal data, except for data we are legally obliged to retain.
4. Use of cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. This section explains what we use them for and lists every cookie we set. Apart from those strictly necessary to run the website, we set cookies only after you have agreed to them.
4.1 Categories
We use three categories. Only the first is set without asking you, because without it the website cannot work. The other two are set only if you allow them in the cookie notice, and you can change or withdraw that permission at any time.
4.1.1 Strictly necessary
These keep the website working and remember the decisions you have already made about it: the language you selected and your answer to the cookie notice. They do not require your consent and cannot be switched off. One of them, GAESA, is set by our hosting provider so that your visit stays with the same server; we do not read it.
4.1.2 Statistics
These tell us which pages are visited, so that we can see what is useful and what is not. We receive the figures in aggregated form, not as a record of an individual visit. This category is provided by Google Analytics and is set only with your consent.
4.1.3 Advertising
These let us measure whether our advertising reaches the right people, for example whether someone who arrived from an advertisement later requested a quote. This category is provided by Google Ads and is set only with your consent. We do not sell your data.
4.2 Cookies used on this website
"Duration" is how long a cookie stays on your device unless you delete it earlier.

4.3 Google as a recipient, and transfer outside the EEA
The statistics and advertising categories are provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data processed through them may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. Such transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You should be aware that authorities in third countries may be able to access data for control and monitoring purposes. If you do not consent to these two categories, no Google cookie is set.
4.4 Changing or withdrawing your choice
You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it. Your browser also lets you delete cookies that are already stored.
